Typically, in Vegas I opt to try out new restaurants and experiences, and this short one-day visit was no exception. I have gone to Bouchon at the Venetian countless times for their spectacular breakfast service, however, it seemed eerie that despite choosing Bouchon for many occasions, I have never been for their famed dinner service.
Arrival and Appetizer
Making a reservation at Bouchon is quite easy, even on a busy weekend such as the time I was attending. Right as I arrived for my 7pm reservation, I sensed the French style hospitality and efficiency as the staff sat me down and took my drink order immediately. I did not opt for anything special as a beverage, which lead me to order the oysters and the French onion soup as my appetizer. I do not prefer my oysters to be overly salty, and these oysters did not possess that aspect in the slightest. With a side of lemon, and topped with cocktail sauce, the oysters were delicious. The French onion soup was especially made for all the cheese lovers out there, including me. The soup was cheesy, and flavorful, and albeit a bit on the salty side, it was very good. My mom ordered the foie gras, which was meaty and flavorful, but personally I prefer French onion soup.

Entree
For the entree, I went with the Poulet Rôti, or in other words roasted chicken with roasted vegetables,
fall squash, bacon lardons & chicken jus. Our waiter Josip praised the dish and went to the extent to call it a “must try” because of how fresh the chicken was. The chicken was fresh, flavorful, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. The chicken jus complimented the dish very well because of its tangy, bold flavor, contrasting the relatively subtle flavor of the chicken. The vegetables were flavorful, as they were served under the chicken, resulting in them contracting the flavor of the juice from the chicken, and the tanginess of the jus. Overall, the dish was very tasty, and I would not hesitate to order it again.
Dessert
When the dessert menu arrived, my eye went straight to my all-time favorite dessert, crème
brûlée. The thin layer of sugar on top was sweet, crispy, and bitter, with the custard being soft, and light.
At the end, Josip spotted me taking pictures of the food, and asked if I wanted a tour of the kitchen, and how could I decline the opportunity. I was introduced to one of the managers of the restaurant, Teddy, who was very friendly and informative throughout our tour.

Overall Impression
I came into the restaurant with high expectations for their dinner service considering how commendable their brunch service is, and those expectations were met. Bouchon’s service is consistently efficient, helpful, and friendly, and this experience with Josip and Teddy was no different. For how expensive mediocre food may get in Vegas, the price was relatively affordable for the outstanding quality of each dish. Between the large amount of availability, affordable price, delicious food, and great service, I highly recommend visiting Bouchon, and I surely can’t wait to visit again!
